Schiller-Pfeiffer Acquires BedShaper Product Line

SOUTHAMPTON, PA (October 2003) – Schiller-Pfeiffer, Inc., manufacturer of Little Wonder® and Mantis® Landscaping & Gardening Power Equipment, announced the acquisition of the BedShaper® line of self-propelled and tractor mounted edgers from Pro Industries, Inc. of Ephrata, PA. The BedShaper line was introduced six years ago and has steadily gained popularity among golf course, grounds maintenance, and landscape professionals.

The acquisition includes; BedShaper model 900, a self-propelled, hydrostatic drive edger that cuts up to 100 feet per minute (with three engine options: 11 hp Briggs & Stratton, 13 hp Kawasaki, and 13 hp Honda); model 951 - Grasshopper Tractor Mounted BedShaper; and model 952 - Walker Tractor Mounted BedShaper. Stuart Bryan, President of Schiller-Pfeiffer, explained the attraction for the acquisition, "The BedShaper line includes the highest quality bed shaping products on the market and both the quality and craftsmanship of the line compliment our own product standards. The BedShaper line has gained strong acceptance since its' introduction six years ago, and we're confident that we can supply the momentum to make it the premiere line of bed shaping equipment in the industry."

Brian DeMaris, President of Pro Industries, Inc., will join the Schiller-Pfeiffer team to assure a smooth transition of both production and distribution of the BedShaper products. The BedShaper product line will be marketed under the Little Wonder brand name.

The Little Wonder BedShaper will debut at the Louisville Expo, Inside Booth #4001, 4002 & 4004, Outside Booth #7359.
